    wider IS better :3 And I have a laptop so I always try to make 'em wide screen!
    all my gallery submissions fit the requirements I believe. XD So u can add whichever u like :3 *joinage*

    Well some of the people I work with flip their widescreen on the side since then they have a very looong viewing area for documents. I'm pretty sure you have to do some weird setup with the video card to make it work correctly though.

    Maybe I will experiment with doing a photo background first. XD I like your idea Maplerose, no matter what though I think it's going to be complicated.

    lol, I've never seen people putting widescreen on their side (I didn't even know it was possible XD)...

    but yeah I guess to make a desktop for that, make a wall with the height of the widescreen (on its side) and width of the normal screen width + widescreen width. Then put all the main stuff near the top. Don't leave the bottom totally blank, just have it be a pattern or gradient or something simple that you wouldn't mind cutting off on the non-wide screen. Then to set the wallpaper, have it as "tile", the same way you would set a dual-screen monitor
