I can't believe I never thought to apply for this group. Pretty much everything I wall now is widescreen, since, well, I have a widescreen laptop XD

Well some of the people I work with flip their widescreen on the side since then they have a very looong viewing area for documents. I'm pretty sure you have to do some weird setup with the video card to make it work correctly though.
Maybe I will experiment with doing a photo background first. XD I like your idea Maplerose, no matter what though I think it's going to be complicated.

lol, I've never seen people putting widescreen on their side (I didn't even know it was possible XD)...
but yeah I guess to make a desktop for that, make a wall with the height of the widescreen (on its side) and width of the normal screen width + widescreen width. Then put all the main stuff near the top. Don't leave the bottom totally blank, just have it be a pattern or gradient or something simple that you wouldn't mind cutting off on the non-wide screen. Then to set the wallpaper, have it as "tile", the same way you would set a dual-screen monitor

That just sounds weird. Ive never even thought of turning my screen on its side, I like my wide screen the way it is.

Here's a conversation topic for the group! (maybe after 4 months I'll get a reply, lolz). Has anyone see how some people turn their widescreen monitors so they are up and down (so tall/long rather then wide)? I've seen some of the people at work do that where they have two monitors: 1 normal, and one widescreen flipped on it's side. The desktop look isn't pretty since only the tiny part that is the same size as the other screen really gets decorated.
I've been trying to think if it would even be possible to wall for something like that. Maybe if you made a huge arse picture that somehow was only filled where the little screen would be, and then actually show more area for the flipped screen. Does that make any sense? Maybe I should do a little diagram of what I mean...

Quote by MapleRoseholy crap, what's is?!? Is it just me, or can we upload 1280x800 walls into the gallery now?! 'cause I just saw one with that resolution. Unless somebody moved it there from somewhere else?
Lol yeah, I saw a few too. When I tried to upload my Lily of Purity with that resolution, MT didn't allow. Maybe it's allowed now... -
